FREE Webinar - Screencasting & Flipgrid - Work With Your Students Outside of the Classroom
The Canisius College Education Technologies Program is hosting a FREE webinar series on using ONLINE TOOLS TO TEACH STUDENTS. This topic is especially relevant with the recent concerns about cancelling school in light of current health issues. During each session participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the technologies modeled. Participants will also earn CTLE credits!
Our first session will be held on March 25th, at 4:00 pm. Ron Kotlik, Canisius Ed Tech Professor and Clarence High School Teacher, will host a session on using different video tools to communicate with students outside of the classroom.
Are you looking for an easy way to create video content for your students to extend lessons beyond the classroom? Are you concerned that you will not be able to work with your students in a traditional face-to-face setting? This session will demonstrate web based and computer based tools to easily produce both student and teacher created videos that can be used to bring the content delivery of any course outside of the classroom. Tools that will be demonstrated include Flipgrid, Screen-cast-omatic, and Screencastify.

Consider taking a course this summer or fall in our online Ed Tech Program. Classes provide teachers with innovative and practical tools that can immediately transform their classrooms. Each 3 credit hour course is equivalent to 45 CTLE hours!
About the Education Technologies and Emerging Media Program at Canisius College: The Education Technologies and Emerging Media Programs are innovative and fully online. The Master's Degree program is designed to prepare classroom teachers for New York State (NYS) certification as an Educational Technology Specialist (grades PreK-12). A degree option is also available for students not interested in NYS certification. These courses also prepare students to take the Google Certified Education Level 1/Level 2 and Flipped Learning Level 1/Level 2 Certification exams. This program is perfect for K-12 teachers who already have their initial certification in their content area and are seeking professional certification. Students focus on the purposeful use of technology for teaching and learning with a major emphasis on the application of technologies for content literacy.
