Students in 5th grade are learning and studying about the topic of nutrition in their science class. For this project, I introduced students to the application, Canva. Canva is a free app/or website that allows users to create digital projects. The goal of this lesson was for students to learn how to use the Canva app on their iPads and to create digital posters in Canva that promote healthy lifestyles. Students explored a variety of elements and features that are offered in Canva such as: text/font styles, backgrounds/layouts, graphics, images, graphs, illustrations, and many more. After students finished their posters, they were able to save them as an image onto their iPad’s camera roll.
