Final Project for EDT 505 submitted by Lauren Postula
Using Doceri in the classroom promotes a student centered learning environment. There are so many different ways that you can incorporate the app into the curriculum as well. In the video, you will see the instructor use the desktop version to scan in a guided notes sheet and make annotations directly through the program. You can start and stop the annotations at any time. The students then use Doceri and the iPads as a cooperative work space. They can record their step by step solutions and cast screens to the projector for other groups to correct and make comments. This program can be used in virtually any classroom, and is completely free to use. The only expense would be the teacher’s desktop or laptop version. There are different backgrounds and inserts for just about any subject. For example, a social studies teacher could use the United States outline when learning about State Capitols or a math teacher could use the graph paper background to teach coordinates. The possibilities are endless!
